Some of the recipients of Going Mobile KW outreach include those living at A Better Tent City in Kitchener, which is a small community made up of cabins and shared spaces.

Nadine Green works and lives at A Better Tent City and is the resident Site Coordinator. She is a strong advocate for the unsheltered as well.

The first location of A Better Tent City was at Lot 42 on Ardelt Avenue until it was sold and the community temporarily moved to the City of Kitchener Snow Dump on Battler Road for the summer of 2021. The community now resides at 49 Ardelt Avenue on land owned by the City of Kitchener, and the Waterloo Regional School Board.
